Licensed
as an NAC in the state of Washington or eligible
Current
American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA-BLS) certification for
the Healthcare Provider or obtain within the first 30 days of employment
SPECIFIC
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
- All functions are essential
functions unless otherwise noted.
Recognize
and be able to meet the basic needs of patients, such as bathing, grooming
and dressing.
Assist
with all PO intake of food and/or liquids.
Take
and record daily vitals.
Toileting
patients and ensuring proper protocol is followed.
Assist
with keeping patient rooms clean and orderly, including changing bed
linens, emptying trash, putting away equipment (such as wheelchairs and
walkers), stocking linens, etc
Ensuring
equipment (helmets, SCDs, Spenco boots, etc.) that has been ordered by
physician or clinician is being utilized by appropriate patients.
Transfer
patients in and out of bed and wheelchairs and transport to appointments
as needed.
Read
and monitor BVI machines.
Catheter
care as needed.
Maintain
close communication with the team leader regarding the assessment of the
response of patients and their families to medical care and regarding
their needs for further education.
Accurately
complete patient charting in a timely fashion.
