The experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse provides direct patient care, evaluates outcomes, consults with other specialties as required and adjusts nursing care process as indicated to ensure optimal patient care. Collaborates with other health team members to coordinate medical and nursing management of patient care. Keeps charge nurse and physician informed regarding critically ill or injured patients and patient care issues.NVRH is located in Vermonts historic Northeast Kingdom, a region known for its unspoiled beauty and four season recreational activities. A not-for-profit independent hospital, NVRH provides primary and preventive care, surgical and specialty services, inpatient and outpatient care, and 24-hour physician-staffed emergency services.*Minimum 3 years ER RN experience required. Vermont COVID Requirements COVID-19 testing by PCR method must be done prior to start of rotation. Copy of test result required. No quarantine required. If 14 days after final COVID vaccination dose and/or living in Vermont, we need proof of a negative PCR test result. If NOT COVID vaccinated AND traveling from outside of Vermont, we require a negative PCR test 3 days before travel to Vermont and once in Vermont another negative PCR prior to start date at NVRH. *Subject to change based on VT Requirements.Credentialing must be uploaded no later than 2 business days prior to traveler start.
