Job DescriptionPosition Summary: The Radiation Therapist Assistant is responsible for localization of treatment areas and administration of radiation treatments to patients under the direction of the Radiation Oncologist.Qualifications:American Heart Association BLSAmerican Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)Preferred: Montana Radiation Therapist Licensure Essential Job Functions:Assists with the administration of radiation therapyEnsures all documents required for treatment are completed.Assists in simulations and simulation radiography (i.e. CT, MRI, and PET) to localize treatment area while confirming treatment plan with the Radiation Oncologist.Educates patient regarding procedure on first day of treatment.Observes all safety regulations concerning ionizing radiation both for self and patients and reporting any incidence outside of normal operating parameters to the Medical Physicist.Attends weekly chart rounds and monthly department meetings.Maintains a safe and clean environment within the work setting.Performs other duties as assigned.Required Qualifications
