Active Nevada license, BLS up to date. Proficient in EPIC charting.Unit DescriptionGSU is a 40-bed medical/surgical unit with 32 semi-private and 8 private rooms. Our patient population includes a high volume of elective orthopedic surgeries (total hips, knees, and shoulder replacements), general surgery (lap appe, lap chole, small bowel obstructions, etc.), chronic pain lines (pain pump insertions/revisions), nephrology, urology, plastic surgery, and medical patients. Currently ranked as High Performing in Hip and Knee Replacement by U.S. News and World Report at South Meadows; only hospital in Northern Nevada that certified by the Joint Commission in all three disciplines (total hip, knee, and shoulder replacements). Core group of hospitalists that specifically work at South Meadows location, which allows for a collaborative environment between the IDT.ScheduleDay Shift: 0645-1915 ; Night Shift: 1845-0715May float in-house to med/tele, ICU or ED to flex/task. Expect to float to Renown Regional Medical Center within med-surg module if staff needed. May be required to pick up one extra shift per 4-week schedule.Required Qualifications
