Non-NegotiablesBLS2 years general medical surgical or acute rehabilitation nursing experience. Skilled nursing experience with a focus on restorative care can be considered. CRRN preferred. Acute rehabilitation nursing experience preferred. Bedside shift report required.Unit Description 62 bed CARF accredited Acute Rehabilitation Hospital, freestanding hospital. Targeted daily census 36. Average length of stay 13.77 days, 81% of patients are discharged to the community (home). Stroke is the largest patient population (32%), Brain injury second (21%), Spinal Cord injury (traumatic and non-traumatic) 11% third. Other patient populations include orthopedic injuries, debility, and other neurologic conditions. We do not have ventilator dependent patients. We have a limited pediatric population (age 16 or 17) with adult size medications and equipment needs. We focus on returning to the highest independent function status. We focus on bowel and bladder training, skin care, transfers, mobility, pain management, sleep/wake cycles and community reintegration. EHR - EPIC Schedule Full time is 36 hours/week, flexible schedule with weekend requirements of 4 shifts/month. Day shift begins at 0645 1915, night shift begins at 1845 0715. Typical day ratios 5 6, 7 8 on night shift with additional CNA support and charge nurse roles. May float to other comparable nursing units within Renown Health sites.UPDATE: As of 6/12/20, Renown Reserves the right to call off, without penalty, FOUR (4) shifts, or 48 hours, for low census per 13 week contract. This may be full or partial shifts.Required Qualifications
