Essential Key Job Responsibilities-Med Surge:· Care patients ranging from pediatric to geriatric with time-sensitive illness and/or injury.· Provide rapid intervention to prevent death or disability· Facilitate optimal health restoration to patients· Educate patients and their families about medications and treatment.· Assist physicians during examinations and/or procedures· Records patient medical information in EMR· Administer different types of medication· Use specialized equipment such as cardiac monitors and ventilators · Chart Review per managers request Certifications required:BLSACLSCALS or TNCCRequired Qualifications
General Certifications(PALS,ACLS,BLS/BCLS)
