would receive when you join us.Responsibilities:The Licensed Practical Nurse is an
active participant in the health care team who provides direct care and support
to patients, families, and legal guardians in accordance with the philosophy,
objectives, values, mission and core principles of MiraVista Behavioral Health
Center. The Licensed Practical Nurse is responsible for maintaining a safe
therapeutic milieu grounded in MiraVistas core principles. The Licensed
Practical Nurse works under the direction of the Registered Nurse and works
collaboratively as a member of the multi-disciplinary treatment team.Qualifications:
Education: Currently licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) by the
State of Massachusetts required. CPR certification required. Restraint
reduction de-escalation/ crisis intervention experience preferred.Experience: Previous psychiatric/substance inpatient
experience preferred.
Skills: The successful candidate will possess
excellent verbal and written communication skills; knowledge of Behavior Health
and Substance Abuse treatment modalities; ability to develop a therapeutic
relationship while maintaining professional boundaries; sufficient typing and
computer skills to facilitate use of Electronic Medical Record; crisis
management and time management skills; and exhibit flexibility, creativity, and
ability to manage stressful situations in a calm, organized and professional
