We provide inpatient behavioral health services to children, adolescents and adults. Location: Devens, MASchedule: Full-time / Part-time (every other weekend required) Shift: Days, 7 am - 3:30 pmDepartments: Mental Health CounselorThe Mental Health Counselor, under the supervision of the Charge Nurse and Nursing Director, is responsible for maintaining a safe therapeutic milieu on inpatient psychiatric units. The role involves conducting safety checks, patient monitoring, assisting with ADLs, de-escalating acute situations and providing supportive interactions with patients.Qualifications:Bachelors Degree in Mental Health, Human Services or related field preferred; previous PCT/PCA experience applicableSufficient typing and computer skills to facilitate use of Electronic Health Record requiredExperience with Electronic Health Record, including Medsphere/Vista preferredEffective oral and written communication skillsAbility to develop a therapeutic relationship while maintaining professional boundariesAbility to manage stressful situations in a calm, organized, and professional mannerAbout TaraVistaTaraVista Behavioral Health Center, an innovative 116 bed inpatient hospital, was conceived from this simple question: What if we could create an inpatient Behavioral Health Center from scratch?TaraVistas mission is to provide compassionate, effective, sustainable care for those suffering from psychiatric distress and co-occurring substance abuse.
