Operate diagnostic ultrasound equipment to demonstrated anatomical or physiological structures of the human body for diagnostic purposes. Produce quality images as directed by the radiologists and physicians for the diagnosis or treatment of anatomic or physiologic disorders. Demonstrate knowledge of general and cross sectional anatomy, technical factors, and basic computer skills. Function to work independently and in a cooperative manner in teamwork oriented atmosphere within the department as well as hospital wide. Must be able to provide exceptional care and satisfaction skills to all customers of the Great River Health Systems. Performs: General Abdominal Sonography, Vascular Sonography (Doppler), OB/GYN Sonography, Small parts Sonography on all populations. Basic computer skills as well as PACS knowledge. Produce ultrasonic recordings of internal organs for use by physicians. Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology and/ or Ultrasound program.Active on the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) registry or registry eligible, required within one year of hireMaintains valid licensure/certification/registration
