Position Summary:
Under the
limited supervision of the Director of Diagnostic Imaging, the CT Technologist
will perform CT diagnostic tests for patients as ordered with minimal to no
supervision. All CT Technologists are
qualified to care for patients in the following age groups: neonates,
pediatrics, adolescents, adults and geriatrics.·
Education:
Graduation
from an accredited program in Radiologic technology, with CT instruction
required.

Experience:Two (2) years of
Radiology Technology experience, with CT experience strongly preferred.
Must
have considerable knowledge of CT / Radiology equipment and procedures.
Ability
to follow and interpret written and verbal orders.
Ability
to evaluate patients as to technique for performing procedures.
Must
be able to recognize consequences of error and cope with stressful
situations.
Must
be able to work within the department and maintain confidentiality.

Licensure &
Certifications:
School of Radiologic Technology
certificates and registration with the American Registry of Radiologic
Technologists (ARRT) and state license are required.
Maintain certification/verification with
the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and state
license are required.
AART certification in CT is preferred.
Current
verification in Basic Life Support.
(If BLS verification is not current upon hire must be obtained
within thirty (30) days of hire.)
