PRINCIPAL JOB DUTIES:
Exhibits strong teamwork, organizational,
interpersonal and customer relations skillsDemonstrates understanding and compliance with
regulatory agency requirements and survey readiness standardsUtilizes patient care planning and
implementation of the nursing process according to ASPAN, The Joint Commission,
and CDPH standards for patient progress toward desired outcomesEvaluates transformation of care, pre-op &
discharge teaching and planning to include drug reconciliationAssesses, plans, implements and evaluates the
care of patients seen in the Outpatient Center across all phases of care within
perianesthesia servicesMaintains general knowledge and competencies to
support Endoscopy and Pain procedures on an as needed basisMaintains fiscal responsibility of the unit;
monitors supply availability and utilization, check for outdates,
accountability for charting accuracy and appropriately documentation of
utilization chargesSeeks out opportunities for enhanced knowledge
and sustained relevance to current practice standardsEffectively utilizes resources and time in order
to plan and perform nursing care and other assigned dutiesPerforms other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS:Graduate of accredited school of registered
nursingCurrent California RN licenseCurrent American Heart Association ACLS and BLS
certifications required; PALS certification required within 6 months of hireMinimum one year recent acute care/perianesthesia
experience preferredModerate Sedation, GI, and Patient Recovery
experience preferredPerioperative services/Perianesthesia national
certification highly desirableAbility to communicate in Spanish highly
desirableCapable of performing position related physical
